No Surrender on Climate Change rally, following Kevin Rudd's announced 5% emission targets - Adelaide

Senator Sarah Hanson-Young held a roundtable meeting of South Australian childcare providers in Adelaide on Wednesday 19 November, in the wake of the ABC Learning corporate collapse and turmoil in the childcare sector.

Several hundred concerned South Australians attended Rally for the River on Sunday 28 September 2008 in Victoria Square, Adelaide.

On Sunday 14 September, Senator Sarah Hanson-Young started off the Adelaide leg of GetUp's national Climate Change Torch Relay.

Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, Senator Bob Brown, Greens MLC Mark Parnell and Greens candidate for Mayo Lynton Vonow visited the Lower Lakes and Coorong to meet with concerned local residents about the plight of the Murray's lower reaches.

Sarah Hanson-Young was sworn in as South Australia's first-ever Greens Senator on Tuesday 26 August 2008, following her election in November 2007. She is also the youngest person elected to the Senate and the youngest woman elected in the Parliament's history.
